When the rain started pouring in, so did the phone calls to Emergency Managers in Lincoln county. A Shindler neighborhood along Highway 11 woke up to feet of water surrounding their homes.
KSFY Action News traveled with neighbors this morning traveling from house to house, saving as much as they could.
It looks like the wake of a boat. But it's not. The boat's in what's left of Tim Griffith's Schindler driveway and his yard is somewhere under several feet of water.
"It was still dark and we came out on the deck and you could hear water and see reflections," Griffith said..
When the sun came up ,Tim saw all the floating pieces that needed to be picked up.....water heaters and chairs filling his yard and neighborhood.
The living room might look the same but take a look at this the basement stairs filling with water. Showing he must have at least five feet of water in there.
"Heirlooms a lot of pictures now you got me think about that, I'm trying not to think about that," Griffith said.
So Tim and his neighbors are staying busy. Everyone working together to clean up the best the can. They worked together to get this bridge out of the flood waters. Spreading a feeling of community during a disaster.
"There's going to be some financial loss hopefully we can work that out the big thing is we are all here helping," Griffith said.
