KENT ERDAHL - News Anchor/Reporter
I joined the KSFY news team in September 2005 as a general assignment reporter and became anchor of KSFY Weekend News almost exactly two years later. To me, my the responsibilities of my job are great because I get a chance to both tell you what's happening across the state and also report to others about the stories that are impacting your life. I come to KSFY as a Minnesota transplant. I hail from Fertile, Minnesota, a small town in the Red River Valley and I graduated with a broadcast journalism degree from the University of Minnesota in May of 2005. While growing up in Minnesota I also spent a lot of time in the Sisseton area visiting my grandparents, and since beginning my job I've grown an even deeper appreciation for all that South Dakota has to offer as well. I've always aspired to report whether that meant high school journalism projects, college road trips around the country, or sports and news coverage as part of the University of Minnesota news team. I've always enjoyed telling stories and I usually have a lot of fun while I'm doing it. When I'm not reporting I enjoy pursuing my passion for sports and the outdoors. I like to get out for a run or a pick-up game whenever I can, but when fall comes I also look forward to hunting with friends and family whenever I get the chance. I'm looking forward to sharing your stories, and maybe I could even share a good pheasant hunt from time to time! Either way, feel free to drop me an e-mail. Email: kerdahl@ksfy.com |
