Robert Wilson

I'm KSFY's Robert Wilson.  I've been fortunate enough to live in Sioux Falls and cover news at KSFY for several years now.  I'm originally from Seattle, but have found the wonderful people of South Dakota, Minnesota, and Iowa to be wonderful friends and neighbors.

The thing I like most about reporting is the opportunity to meet interesting people and see first hand the many local events that touch lives and communities.

If I had to pick one, my favorite story at KSFY dates back to February, 2001.  I was lucky enough to travel with Pearl Harbor Survivor and Vermillion native, Darrel Christopherson to Honolulu.  It was Darrel's first trip back since he retired from the Navy.  To see how he was treated and how the trip touched him was an experience I'll never forget.

When I'm not reporting I love spending time with my new wife, Emily.  Before coming to Sioux Falls, I reported from the State Capitol Bureau for 5 stations in Montana.  I had a blast, but the opportunity to come to Sioux Falls was too much to pass up!

Prior to Big Sky Country, I spent four of the best years of my life at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon.  I graduated with a degree in Rhetoric and Media studies and was lucky enough to play on a Bearcat football team that won 3 league championships in my four years!

Thanks again for checking out ksfy.com and please e-mail me with any story ideas you think I should know about!
