A love of weather lured me into a career as a television meteorologist.  Growing up in the Twin Cities and living in the Midwest my entire life has given me a broad perspective of all types of weather.

This passion for the weather led me to Grand Forks, North Dakota, where I would pursue my meteorological degree.  I am a graduate of the University of North Dakota, in Grand Forks with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorological Studies.

After obtaining my degree, I began work at KSFY-TV in June of 1996.

I'm a member of the American Meteorological Society (AMS) and hold the AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) Television Seal of Approval. This seal is a peer reviewed certification of my meteorological broadcasting skill.

When I'm not tracking storms at KSFY, I enjoy spending my free time with my children, Kristina and Matthew, and my cat, Fancy. When the kids are keeping me busy, I also like to spend time outdoors, either riding bike or playing sports.  Hockey is one of my favorite sports!
