Katie Taube joined the KSFY Action News team in October of 2009, and brings you your news of the day at 5, 6 and 10. Born and raised in the small town of Geneseo, IL…she is excited to make the Sioux Falls area her new home. Before landing in The Mount Rushmore State, Katie’s news career began as a reporter at WHBF in Rock Island, IL. It then took her to Cadillac, MI where she stretched her skills and became an award-winning weeknight anchor.

A graduate of the University of Illinois, Katie is a faithful Illini fan but enjoys all college sports. When she’s not in the KSFY newsroom…Katie is a marathon runner who also likes to bike, shop, cook and spend time with her family, friends, and her two dogs. A recently certified SCUBA diver, she also enjoys traveling to warm places where she can hang out with tropical fish. In her little spare time Katie likes to sing, play piano and swing dance.

Katie knows South Dakotans are in good hands with the KSFY Action News Team, and takes the responsibility of bringing you the news seriously. She’s excited to become a part of your community and looks forward to seeing you live at 5:00, 6:00, and 10:00.
