Derick Fabert came to KSFY Action News in September of 2007. He is the weekend meteorologist and a general assignment reporter for KSFY Action News Live At 10:00 during the week.

Fabert is from a small suburb of Indianapolis, IN known as Mooresville and that is where he was born and raised. After High School, Derick attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN and graduated with a degree in Atmospheric Sciences. Weather has always been a large interest of Derick’s. His parents claim he has wanted to be a meteorologist as long as either can remember.

Being from the Hoosier state, Derick enjoys cheering for the Colts. During his four years at Purdue he became a fan of the Boilermakers, as well as college football and all other college sports. He also enjoys all form of Motor Sports, especially the Indianapolis 500. When he’s not tracking the weather or his sports teams, Derick enjoys outdoor activities such as boating, water skiing and golf.
