If you've been paying close attention, you may have noticed that I haven't been around the last few days. I was on a quick vacation. Honestly, I'll probably write about it all week, because a lot of ideas crossed my mind, the first of which I'm going to write about today.

As I was driving home, I crossed an intersection and got what I can only describe as chills. You know that feeling when you're reminiscing on good times? That one. The intersection was interstate 74 and highway 231 in Indiana. There are lots of reasons this intersection brought me this feeling, other than the fact I was now one hour from home after already traveling 10 hours.

To the north of this intersection is Purdue, of course, my Alma mater. I think that's where this funny feeling started. I got to thinking about my years up there and laughed quite a bit and also felt relieved because of the degree I had earned during my time there. Highway 231 has a lot of other meanings to me as well. Its the road I would always immediately jump on when I traveling home from Purdue, so its the source of lots of excitement. I traveled the road a lot to places like my parent's Lake House, Indiana University, and countless road trips. All in all, its a highway that is without a doubt my "old stomping grounds"

It's funny how a simple thing can make you reminisce. I think that only more of these will develop over time. Possibly Interstate 80 through Iowa, which I've spent a lot of time on. Maybe it will be Interstate 29 between here and Omaha, which I've also traveled a lot recently. Maybe it won't be a road. Only time will tell.
