My Turn!

By Derick Fabert

Everyone else in the weather center has written about it, so now I will. I would have earlier, but been a bit on the busy side. I'm an very excited to have Shawn Cable as part of our team. I've only been here for just under a year so I didn't even know much about him before the announcement last week. Obviously, a person who has less than a year of experience can be very intimidated when a person who has 10 years of experience walks in the door as a new part of the team.

I immediately felt comfortable working with Shawn. He's very passionate about weather and understands it to a tee. He's the perfect compliment to our team. Not only that, I'm in the best situation a person one year into their career could be. Working with both Shawn and Phil I'm going to learn a ton. Hopefully I can quickly pick up on what they do and duplicate it for our great viewers!

You had Patrick who had more than 10 yrs experience and was a very talented weather man. You would have learned more from Patrick than you will from this so called great man, Shawn. I hope the rumors aren't true that Patrick was pushed out because I will definately be watching a differant station then.
