HANNA IS BETTER ORGANIZED, SHOULD BEGIN TO GET STRONGER SOON.
Tropical Storm Warnings are now in effect for the entier Bahaman Islands. There are also Tropical Storm Warnings for parts of Hispaniola. Nothing has been issued to this point for the United States, but by tomorrow morning we could start to see watches issued, most likely in the Hurricane form.
Hanna finally has started to move to the north and is getting stronger. By this tomorrow afternoon we'll probably be calling this Hurricane Hanna. Some of the east coast states are already seeing dangerous rip currents because of Hanna. For the Bahamas we're expecting 4 to 8 inches of rain with amounts up to 12 inches possible. Already, the storm has killed 26 people, all of which were in Haiti.
As far as the forecast for the storms path, it looks to have switched further to the north, almost making landfall at the border between the Carolinas. This may be some good news for those in Georgia because they've already seen so much rain. However, the storm track keeps this storm fairly strong all the way up the east coast. I will be interesting to see if cities like Washington D.C., New York City, and Boston will have to deal with tropical storm force winds.
