So I was asked to take part in the biggest loser at my gym. The ten week challenge is based on the TV show where people lose weight. By no means am I severly over-weight man, but like some of us, I could lose a few pounds off my wonderful frame. My goal is ten pounds, but I'm hoping for 15-20 in the next 10 weeks.
I've never been a guy to diet, watch my weight, etc. I always played sports as a kid, thru high school and into college. As a soccer player, I'd run close to 4-6 miles a practice, and 6-8 miles or so a game without even realizing it, which allowed me to just consume what-ever was in front of me.
Clearly, I haven't changed my eating habits, but for the first time in some time, I'm actually thinking about what's entering my body before I consume it in two bites. I'm a horrible eater...no if's and's or but's about it. But with some research I've done, it's more about what you eat and how much you eat. I tend to eat so much sometimes I can't breathe (well not that bad, but you get the point)....so this might help.
I've never been excited about this...but my team (what-ever we are calling ourselves) Ryan, Jennifer, Tony and Myself are in it to win it as I said. As the great Ricky Bobby said, "If you ain't first, you're last!"
I intend to be in first. I'm committed to this and in long run, it will only help me.
Until we blog again (hopefully not in a month--sorry bout that)
