Sticking With Tradition

By Leslie Rupiper

As I've mentioned before, I'm in in the midst of planning a wedding. It's funny, when you embark on such a journey, you truly find out how many options are out there.  People immediately ask, "What are your colors?", "Do you have a theme?" It's the fun stuff to talk about, I admit, so I don't mind people asking at all. But when it comes down to actually picking those things...that's a little tougher.

What I've discovered in the planning I've done so far, is that I'm a pretty traditional person.  It's something I didn't really realize until it came time to start making choices about the wedding. I find myself thinking back to stories my mom told me about her wedding, and wanting to recreate them in a little different way.  Old-Fashioned aren't really the words I would choose, Traditional sums it up better. There are moments when I'm flipping through bridal magazines and I see trendy, cool ideas. But in the end, I always come back to what's more traditional.  In a way, I guess this entire process is teaching me a little bit more about myself.

I would go with Thom's idea....a Minnesota Twin's theme. Then everyone will cheer loudly as you both walk down the isle!
