Political season is a fiesty one for fiance Thom and I. No matter what the contest...national, state or local, we always seem to find ourselves on opposite sides of the fence. It makes for some lively debate on Thom's sofa.  Now, you might be thinking, how could you possibly marry someone who's clearly so different than you when it comes to politics? The truth is, Thom and I are actually very similar when it comes to ideals, values, and what we want out of life. But for some reason, when we talk politics, it's a different story.  I think part of it is that each of us likes to get the other all riled up.  I'm usually the one who raises my voice before he does when we "debate". Then, I have trouble making my point because I'm all frazzled. I'm sure this is part of Thom's plan.

We've already had several debates this campaign season and it's only August. I'm sure there will be more to come in the months ahead. Sometimes I say to Thom, "Why can't you just agree with me?" But then I realize, that would just take the fun out of it.
