Well, the rumor has finally come true!

I can't tell you how many times over the past year that someone has come up to me and said "I hear that Shawn Cable is coming to KSFY. Is that true?" I would always say "that's news to me!"

But as you probably know by now, Shawn has joined KSFY and he'll be giving you the weather forecast during KSFY Live In The Morning and KSFY Live at 11:30 Monday through Friday beginning August 25.

I'm being totally truthful in telling you that I'm really happy to have Shawn here. I've never really considered him a rival because he and I have seen each other at several events over the years and I always thought he was a really nice guy. He's just the same in person as he is on the air.

I welcome his passion for weather, especially severe weather, and his upbeat attitude. I've had many positive comments from viewers who've heard about Shawn coming to KSFY

At the same time, I'd like to thank Patrick Griesgraber for his hard work and dedication to KSFY over the past 12 years. Good luck PG!

First I want to commend Phil for thanking Patrick for his 12 years of service. Phil and Patrick were a great team along with Derek. I will never understand why everyone thinks Shawn is the greatest. After watching him and his ego I miss Patrick even more. Patrick , where ever you are at we all miss you and the great job you did. Phil, don't you have enough clout to bring him back and sent Shawn back to KELO land?

I think it is fantastic that you and Shawn are together. That way I don't have to click back and forth, like when he was at kelo. It's good to see Shawn back. I'd moved away for a couple years and was delighted to see him on TV again when I moved back, then he was gone. I welcome you both in our home in Spirit Lake.

When you give the weather you never mention worthington, MN in the weather. Why when Shawn give the weather and Sioux Falls weather come up he always says Worthington tell him he is living in Sioux Falls. I do not care what the weather is in Worthington. If Shawn want to be on the air during bad weather Phil stay in charge. That is why I stop watching Kelo.
