One Day At A Time...

By Chris Studer

First of all, a huge "THANK YOU" to everyone who's sent us gifts and well wishes on the births of our little twin boys. It's so special to know that so many people are thinking of and praying for our two little men. We appreciate you all.

So just to update their conditions at this point, we've been in the Intensive Care Unit for about 3 days now, and they're starting to really improve. Alex is doing great, eating good, and could get to go home first (not sure just when though). Maguire's had some issues with pneumonia and other things, so he might be in a bit longer. But overall the doctors say that they'll both be happy and healthy. They just need to get over a few little hurdles first.

As hard as it is to see your children like that, we're so very thankful for our own situation. We've already met other parents in the NICU that have been there for months. One mother told us, "This is our 104th day in here..." I can't even imagine the pain they're going through, so it makes our situation seem so much easier to handle, considering what it could be like.

I'll keep posting about their progression, and thanks again to everyone!

Chris
