Congrats to the Pack, I Guess

I usually don't post about sports two days in a row. But today I must.

I've wiped my tears. I'm over it. Well, maybe not just yet. I can have a day to be mad about it right? Alright, I'm not mad, but last night's Vikings/Packers game was quite a disappointment to say the least. I know it was Aaron Rodgers' day to shine, and get out of the shadow of Brett Favre. But it didn't have to come at the expense of the Vikings.

It was a sad game overall for both teams (i.e. 20+ penalties combined or something stupid like that) but I thought the Vikings played pretty well for the first game of the season. One of the penalties that wasn't called last night but should've been cost the Vikes the game in my opinion. Another Vikes fan (and co-worker) agreed. It was a pass interference call that wasn't called. It would've given the Vikes a first down and sustained a drive in the 4th quarter. It was crucial.

But I guess if we have to lose a game this year (I was hoping for a 2007 perfect Patriots performance out of the Vikes) it might as well be in the first game. It's never easy to win at Lambeau either. That stadium rocks if you've never been there. I got to go to a game about 4 years ago and it was amazing. But it sucks for the Vikings usually. Although the game I went to we actually won, surprisingly. I don't know what that had to do with anything.

Anyway, there's always next week for the Vikes to recover. Oh yeah, Peyton Manning and the Colts are coming to the dome...great.
