WHAT IS IT?
The KSFY Sports Expo is the first expo of its kind in South Dakota. For 18 years, KSFY has published the Pigskin Preview every August, offering an in-depth look at South Dakota high school football as well as offering the same coverage for high school basketball with the Hardcourt Preview in December. Aside from offering the best coverage of high school athletics, we recognized the need to offer parents and student athletes of middle school and high school ages, a one-on-one experience with vendors and businesses that cater to them. From this realization, the Sports Expo was born.
WHEN IS IT?
The 2017 Expo will be held Friday, March 17th and Saturday, March 18th at the Sioux Falls Arena. It is free of charge, and best of all, the South Dakota State A Boys Basketball Tournament will be held next door at the Denny Sanford Premier Center!
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE?
For parents that have children in competitive sports, it can be difficult to keep up on technologies, training, health and fitness, season preparation and safety aspects relating to your child and their sport of choice. In addition, some parents are simply looking for a sport that their child might have an interest in without having to invest hundreds of dollars only to find out they aren’t that interested. The Expo will provide parents the opportunity to visit with organizations they know well, as well as others they may not be aware exist, answer parents' questions, try out products and services, and sample or try out items.
WHO WILL BE THERE?
Health, higher education, sporting equipment, training, camps, and many more vendors.
