65 women, men nominated for 44th annual 'Tribute to Women'

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - Local community leaders will be honored next month for their commitment to empowering women and families.

"Tribute to Women" will be held on April 13 at beginning at 5 p.m. at the Washington Pavilion with the awards program at 7 p.m. in the Great Hall. The event is open to the public.

Tickets can be purchased online from the EmBe website.

The award categories include: Business Achievement, Banking & Finance, Government & Law, Healthcare & STEM, Nonprofit & Community Services, Humanities & Education, Young Woman of Achievement, Sylvia Henkin Mentoring Award, and the EmBeliever Award.

EmBe said the funds raised from the event will provide scholarships for children to participate in camps and sports programs, help working parents obtain safe, affordable childcare and offer young women leaders the tools that they need to set and accomplish personal and professional goals in life.
