Arby's 'School's Out, Food's In' Campaign kicks off for Feeding South Dakota

For a second summer, all four Arby's restaurant locations in Sioux Falls are helping fight childhood hunger.

Friday, the 'School's Out, Food's In' campaign kicked off. The local Arby's management team provided punch cards to 3,100 participants of The Backpack Program in Sioux Falls, by Feeding South Dakots, and another 1,600 punch cards to students living in eastern Sioux Falls.

"The kids, through no fault of their own, are not getting enough to eat and we can go out here and we can make a little bit of a difference in someone's life, or at least a child's life, that's what really is fulfilling to us," Eastern South Dakota Arby's Presdient and CEO Joe James said.

Since partnering with Feeding South Dakota in 2011, the four restaurants have donated more than $85,000 to The Backpack Program.
