Athletes at Wings Gymnastics raise money for scholarships for other kids

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - There are several fundraisers the gymnasts are putting on in the coming weeks to raise money for a non-profit called Giving Wings. This non-profit raises money to help kids in the foster care system by providing arts, music or athletic scholarships. It can help pay for the programs themselves or help buy equipment the kids need for an individual activity.

The gym is hosting a Jump-A-Thon on Sunday, July 15th. It's from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the gym's location in Sioux Falls. That location is at 5825 South Bahnson Avenue. Anyone is allowed to participate but they need to raise money. There's no certain limit they need to raise though. For every dollar they raise, they will jump one minute.

Many of the athletes have come up with their own ideas of how to raise money, like selling necklaces, going door to door, and calling relatives or friends to participate. The owner of Wings Gymnastics said it has been very exciting watching the girls learn how to sell and do something for a good cause.
