SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - Authorities say a pickup wanted in connection to burglaries in multiple counties has been found and a suspect is in custody, thanks to tips from the community.

Capt. Jason Gearman said the Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office received tips about the green Dodge pickup on Tuesday morning after releasing information to the public.

Authorities arrested 32-year-old Shaun Ruegge in Canton early Wednesday morning after issuing a search warrant there and at his mother's home in Sioux Falls.

Gearman said they found several items that linked the man to four or five burglaries over the last couple months in Minnehaha County.

Ruegge is currently in custody in Lincoln County on charges there. Gearman said the man will be charged in Minnehaha County Wednesday afternoon on burglary and other drug charges.

Authorities believe the items may have been stolen to trade for drugs, and more people could be charged, according to Gearman.

Detectives are going through the stolen items -- including tools and lawn equipment -- and will contact victims who made reports.

Gearman also wanted to thank the community for the tips.
