SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - The Historic Preservation Board has unanimously rejected the remodeling plan for a home in McKennan Park in Sioux Falls.
The board voted Wednesday afternoon during a meeting at Carnegie Town Hall. It was the only item on the agenda.
The owners of the home located in the historic district recently submitted the plan to the board after the South Dakota Supreme Court denied a petition for a new hearing.
A judge ruled the home does not comply with historical standards.
The owners proposed dropping the roof 8.5 feet.
