SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - On Wednesday, the City of Sioux Falls showed what helped them quickly clear the streets after Monday's snow storm.
For first time, street officials and plow drivers have access to 16 cameras monitoring major intersections around the city.
Street manager Gaylynn Buber said it is now much easier to keep track of which streets need to be salted and plowed.
"So that's something new for us, to have these cameras and the ability to track that snow even closer than what we've done in the past, don't have to rely on drivers - we can see it live-time," he said.
They can even check out the live feeds on their phones. The City plans to add more cameras around Sioux Falls in the near future.
