Chamberlain man identified in Yankton County death investigation

YANKTON COUNTY (KSFY) - Authorities have identified a Chamberlain man as the victim in a Yankton County death investigation.

According to Attorney General Marty Jackley and Yankton County Sheriff Jim Vlahakis, preliminary autopsy results found that 18-year-old Justin Baron Arcoren died of blunt force to his head and chest after he was accidentally struck by a vehicle while walking.

Arcoren was found dead around 2:30 a.m. on Christmas Eve about four miles north of Yankton on U.S. Highway 81, authorities say.

The Yankton County Sheriff’s Office, South Dakota Highway Patrol and the Division of Criminal Investigation are assisting in the investigation.
