UPDATE: Gas leak in downtown Sioux Falls fixed

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - UPDATE 5PM: Crews have fixed a gas leak in downtown Sioux Falls.

Eleventh Street between Main and Phillips avenues was closed temporarily Thursday afternoon, and businesses in the area were evacuated as crews worked on the leak.

Crews are responding to a report of a gas leak in downtown Sioux Falls.

Sioux Falls Fire Rescue says the leak is at 11th Street and Main Avenue. Crews are evacuating businesses in the area.

SFFR is asking the public to stay away from the area, and have blocked off some intersections.

KSFY News has a photographer at the scene, and reporter Erika Leigh will have a live report during the 5 p.m. newscast.
