SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - The Dakota Angler Ice Institute is coming back in Sioux Falls.
It is the fourth largest ice fishing show in the United States, and the South Dakota Department of tourism expects the ninth annual event to draw in visitors from at least 10 states.
The ice fishing show has grown so much, it is going to be at a new, bigger location this November, and the weekend-long event is expected to create a big boost for the city's economy.
"During the winter ice fishing, it is an important part of South Dakota, and so what a great opportunity to have a large convention that will draw thousands of visitors," South Dakota secretary of tourism Jim Hagen said.
This year's Ice Angler Institute is set for November 10-12 at the Sioux Falls Arena.
