Dakota State University to offer reduced tuition for active military

MADISON, S.D. (KSFY) - Active service men and women in the military will soon receive a break on tuition for online degrees at Dakota State University.

The reduced tuition will begin in the summer of 2018, university officials announced on Friday.

According to DSU, active duty service members, National GUard and Reservists will pay $250 per credit hour instead of the current $335 per credit hour. They will also not have to pay any online delivery fees.

DSU President Dr. Jose-Marie Griffiths said the discount will make it easier for military members to become valuable employees as they transition into civilian life.

DSU has been designated as a Military Friendly School since 2012, and the “Military Times” recently named Dakota State as one of the best colleges in the nation for military members or veterans.
