SIOUX FALLS, SD (KSFY) - The FDA recently approved the first continuous glucose monitoring system of its kind that does not require a finger prick.
For years, testing your blood sugar for diabetes has been synonymous with that finger price. But now, a new device called the FreeStyle Libre Flash is taking all of that away.
You literally scan the device that is attached to the back of your arm and it reads your blood sugar levels – no finger sticks, just a scan.
Coming up Thursday night on KSFY News at 10, hear what doctors and patients think of the new device and how it could change the way diabetes is managed.
