NEW YORK (AP) - Dick's Sporting Goods, one of the nation's largest outdoor gear retailers, ends sale of assault-style rifles in stores.
The retailer issued a public statement Wednesday morning, stating the company has heard students' voices regarding gun violence in school.
In addition to the commitment to no longer sell assault rifles, the retailer will no longer sell firearms to anyone 21 years of age, and will no longer sell high capacity magazines.
Dicks also called upon elected officials to "enact common sense gun reform."
