SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Downtown Riverfest has grown in popularity since it started in 2013, and it will be back for a fourth year in a row Saturday at 4:00 PM. The free event will take place on the Downtown River Greenway in between 6th and 8th Streets in Sioux Falls. The event ends at 11:00 PM.
The South Dakota Canoe and Kayak Association will offer canoe rides from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM for $10 per rider. The boats will be located just south of the main stage. It will be just like a gondola ride where you can just pay to enjoy the ride while the guide paddles in the river.
On the main stage, Jim Groth will perform at 4:30 PM. Local band Union Grove Pickers will get on stage at 6:30 PM. Josh Hoyer and Soul Colossal from Lincoln, NE will headline the show at 8:45 PM.
There will be plenty of free activities for the kids as well. Phil Baker will perform from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in a tent that will be located in the Raven Industries parking lot. The Washington Pavilion will also be providing some activities to keep the children busy.
Multiple food and beverage tents will be at the event. A fireworks display will end the night.
