Flood warning issued for 2 western Iowa counties

(KSFY) - The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls has issued a flood warning for two Iowa counties.

The Sioux County Sheriff's Office said the warning will last from Tuesday evening until 4 p.m. Wednesday in Sioux and Plymouth counties. Flooding begins at 19.0 feet.

The Big Sioux River was at 18.6 feet at 3 p.m Tuesday.

It is expected to rise to 19.1 feet Wednesday morning and will fall below flood stage by the afternoon.

Flooding could be seen to agricultural land on the South Dakota side of the river.
