Derek Miles was presented with an Olympic bronze medal by the International Olympic Committee Monday at 10:00 a.m.
Miles placed fourth in the pole vault during the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, but the third place winner, Denys Yurchenko from Ukraine, was one of many athletes stripped of his medal after the IOC found banned substances in retests of samples from the games.
The ceremony was held at the DakotaDome Club inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center at 10 a.m.
Both KSFY News and KSFY Sports will have reports about the event Monday night on KSFY News.
