Just after 6:00 p.m. Thursday, the Tea Fire Department responded to the area. According to Lincoln County Emergency Manager Harold Timmerman, the fire likely started by a brush pile reigniting.
Timmerman tells KSFY, 470th Avenue is the only road closed as of 8:45 p.m. as crews continue working hot spots in the area.
Crews from Harrisburg and the Sioux Falls Fire Rescue Wildland Division responded to help. Crews from Tea will remain on-scene throughout the night. Nobody was injured and there was no damage to property.
