A first event of its kind at the Washington Pavilion looks to raise funds and awareness for the Community Learning Center programs and services it offers.
Happily Ever Afternoon promises to be a unique, magical event in downtown Sioux Falls.
"It'll be our first-ever friend-raiser and fundraiser for the Community Learning Center which is all the education programs we have at the Washington Pavilion," Director Rose Ann Hofland said."Whether it's through the grand academy preschool, we have classes and camps at the pavilion, a national award-winning after school program, Dakota Academy of Performing Arts (DAPA) all falls under education at the Pavilion. Happily Ever Afternoon is a way to celebrate all those great programs."
The event welcomes kids and families of all ages to the Mary W. Sommervold Hall for a carnival-like atmosphere.
"We will have people doing engineering activities, canvass painting, games and activities, things to engage people of all ages," Hofland said.
Happily Ever Afternoon will be held February 21st from 1:00-3:00 p.m. For tickets and information, visit the link to the right side of this page.
