'In Her Shoes' empowerment breakfast held in Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - The "In Her Shoes" empowerment breakfast was held Thursday morning at the Sioux Falls Convention Center.

About 1,000 people gathered at the event to talk about empowerment and the work being done at Dress for Success Sioux Falls.

The event also benefits the Dress for Success organization, which helps women in need find employment and make a better future for themselves.

"We don't charge a fee for any services at Dress for Success, so events like this are really important to us," Executive Director Erin Bosch said. "It makes up about 25 percent of our budget in the year."

To date, Dress for Success has helped about 1,200 women in the Sioux Falls community.
