HURON, S.D. (KSFY) - Two candidates for Congress are set to debate each other at next month's South Dakota State Fair, hosted by KSFY News.
Dusty Johnson and Tim Bjorkman have agreed to meet Sunday, Sept. 2 at 3 p.m. on the Freedom Stage.
They will discuss a wide range of issues. KSFY's Brian Allen will moderate the debate.
KSFY also agreed to host a gubernatorial debate. Democrat Billie Sutton accepted our invitation. However, Kristi Noem declined the invitation due to a scheduling conflict.
According to Sutton's campaign, Noem declined another debate on Friday focusing on education. Sutton said he plans to hold a "Back to School Town Hall" in response.
