(KSFY) - South Dakota driver's license and ID cards are getting a new look.

Starting next month several minor changes will be made to the cards.

The header on the licenses, which currently says "Operator License," will now say "Driver License."

The organ donor indicator on the bottom right corner of the card will now have a heart next to the word "Donor."

And finally, the solid gold star on federally compliant licenses an IDs will now be white in a golden circle.

Officials with the state licensing program say the changes are being made to improve the readability of South Dakota licenses.
