MITCHELL, S.D. (KSFY) - The Mitchell Police Department says Kayleen Haiar and her daughter Abigail have been located and are safe. They were not in danger. Kayleen's family and the Mitchell Police Department want to thank everyone for their efforts.
The Mitchell Police Department is asking for the public's help finding a 23-year-old woman and her infant daughter, who they say have been missing since Wednesday.
Police said Kayleen Haiar left a note for her family around 11 p.m.saying she and her daughter were going to visit a friend in Miller, but never arrived there. She does not have a vehicle or cell phone.
Haiar is described as a white woman, 5'7" tall and 130 pounds. She has blonde hair, blue eyes and wears glasses, but it is not known if she has them with her.
Her daughter, Abigail Mare Haiar, is described as a white female infant with brown hair, and unknown eye color, height and weight.
Police said she suffers from diabetes and only took a limited supply of medication with her when she left.
