PIERRE, S.D. (KSFY) - Gov. Dennis Daugaard announced the launch of SDResponse.gov on Thursday.
The website provides the public with real-time information during severe weather and disaster situations, including droughts, fires and winter weather.
The governor said this is just one more tool for people to stay prepared.
"This will be one location where up-to-date information will be posted by the state to help citizens react and prepare for these kinds of conditions, and if they do arise, help them protect themselves and their property," Daugaard said.
The website also includes an archive where information from emergencies dating back to 2011 are stored.
