SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The last weekend of the Spring Parade of Homes is Saturday and Sunday. There are more than 70 homes to tour on this year's parade. The houses are located in Brandon, Crooks, Harrisburg, Sioux Falls and Tea. It is free to tour the houses except for the two feature homes. Those homes cost $5 each to tour.
That money then goes to the Sioux Empire Home Builders Care Foundation though. It's a non-profit that helps fund housing related community service projects and provides scholarships for students.
People will have the opportunity to tour the homes Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM. Many of the homes are 100% complete, but some are still in the construction phase but safe to tour. The purpose of this event is to allow the builder to show off their work and for the public to meet various builders and get ideas for their next home-related project. The homes range in price from $160,000 to over $1,000,000.
