PREMIER Center nominated for Venue of the Year at Academy of Country Music Awards

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - The Denny Sanford PREMIER Center has been nominated for a high honor for the second year in a row.

The center has been nominated again for Venue of the Year for medium capacity venues at the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards.

The winner will be announced during the 11th annual ACM Honors, which recognizes the special honorees and off-camera category winners from the awards show.

“I am so proud of the back to back nominations as Venue of the Year!” Sioux Falls Mayor Mike Huether said. “The folks around Sioux Falls are thrilled by our new Event Center and it is wonderful that country music leaders across America and the world are recognizing the grand things happening here.”

The PREMIER Center is nominated along with Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado' Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion at Meadowbrook in Gilford, N.H.; Huntington Center in Toledo, and Ford Center in Evansville, Ind.

The event will be held on August 23 in Nashville.
