SIOUX FALLS - A world class rodeo event is coming to Sioux Falls later this year.
The Denny Sanford Premier Center will host a newly-sanctioned Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association event on September 16 and 17. Organizers say it will be called the Sioux Falls PREMIER Rodeo.
“This is going to be a world class event with intense competition from some of today’s top rodeo stars,” says Steve Sutton, who along with his wife Kim and their children, and Steve’s parents Jim and Julie Sutton run the rodeo operation.
The Sioux Falls PREMIER Rodeo will be the last chance for athletes to qualify for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, so it is expected to attract some of the best rodeo talent in the world. Seven PRCA events will be included in the rodeo, including Bareback, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Saddle Bronc, Tie Down, Barrel Racing, and Bull Riding.
Tickets are $18, $29, and $43 and go on sale Friday, June 17, at 10:00 a.m. Tickets are available at the PREMIER Center Box Office, www.tickemaster.com, or by phone at 800-745-3000.
