Huron, SD (KSFY) Emergency responders from across the state gathered in Huron for a training exercise Saturday to prepare for any emergency they may face.
Ten counties and more than 30 agencies took part in the training hosted by emergency managers in Beadle County.
The day centered around a mock vehicle crash in Lake Ravine with an underwater rescue. Divers pulled a mannequin, simulating the crash victim, from a car submerged in the lake.
Everyone participating in the mock emergency event were able to get experience with equipment they don’t use on a regular basis.
