Our KSFY Touchstone Energy Scholar of the Week is Trevor Case, a senior at Webster Area School.
Trevor is involved in a lot outside the classroom including football, basketball, golf, baseball, 4-H, shooting sports and Key Club. On top of that, he's Student Council President and maintains a 4.15 GPA.
"I think I do well in school because I put a lot of time in studying different classes, working hard to obtain the grade I'm looking for in each class," Webster Area Senior Trevor Case said.
He enjoys working hard, he tells KSFY, and has a few favorite things about going to school each day.
"Depending on the class, the teacher, and also being able to interact with my friends here is a nice part of school," Case said.
"He's a great leader. He isn't afraid to step out, constantly coming with new ideas and things he wants to bring. He's not afraid to take risks," Assistant Principal Amy Miller said.
Assistant Principal Amy Miller calls Trevor 'a top-notch student in every way'.
"He's responsible in the classroom, and is obviously a great student, but he shines in everything he does from all our extracurricular, on the basketball court, STEM program, Student Council as our president. He's an outstanding all around kid," Assistant Principal Amy Miller said.
Trevor has plans to attend South Dakota State University in the fall and get his degree in hospital administration.
But he has some advice for incoming high school freshmen.
"Make sure you got a nice schedule. You have when all your stuff when all your stuff will be done. Try as hard as you can because it will matter someday," Case said.
For being named a Scholar of the Week, Trevor receives a $100 scholarship from Lake Region Electric Association which is a local Touchstone Energy Cooperative.
