Second person accuses Sioux Falls man of inappropriate contact

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - Police in Sioux Falls say a second person has accused a 75-year-old man of sexual contact.

Public Information Officer Sam Clemens said a detective received a call over the weekend from an adult woman who said David Hirsch touched her inappropriately about 23 years ago when she was eight years old.

The alleged incident happened at an in-home daycare Hirsch operated with his wife, who has not been charged with any crimes.

Clemens said police believe there are more potential victims since the daycare operated for 25 years. It closed in the summer of 2017.

"We think there are other victims out there, we want to give them a chance to be heard, and really a chance to heal," Clemens said during police briefing Tuesday morning.

Hirsch was arrested in December 2017 for sexual contact with a child under 16 years old after a teenager accused him of touching her inappropriately inside his garage workshop in 2012.

Clemens did not know if Hirsch will face more charges after the new allegations.
