Second teen arrested in connection to Bakker Park homicide

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - Police say a second teenager has been arrested in connection to a homicide at a Sioux Falls park last month.

Lt. Michael Colwill said a Lincoln County Grand Jury indicted 16-year-old Jaden Lynn Carmel Tuesday for first degree aiding and abetting murder, first degree aiding and abetting robbery, and aiding and abetting aggravated assault.

Colwill said following the indictment, a warrant was issued for Carmel with a $500,000 cash-only bond.

Charges against Carmel were filed in adult court. The Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Task Force arrested Carmel in Sioux Falls without incident, Colwill said.

Eighteen-year-old Dylan Michael Holler was arrested for first degree murder, first degree robbery and aggravated assault. A judge refused to set his bond on August 30.

Holler is accused of shooting and killing a 17-year-old boy in Bakker Park in southwest Sioux Falls on August 28.
