Sioux Falls Police arrest 10 for DWI during New Year's Eve weekend

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - Authorities in Sioux Falls say 10 people were arrested for DWI over New Year's weekend.

Public Information Officer Sam Clemens said half of those arrests came during saturation patrols between 10 p.m. on New Year's Eve and 3 a.m. on New Year's Day.

The 11 officers issued 5 DWI, 5 speeding and 11 no insurance tickets, among others, just during the saturation patrols, Clemens said.

In all throughout the weekend, police wrote 65 tickets and received 133 calls, which was about the same as last year.
