Sioux Falls man arrested after Nebraska police chase

Hubbard, NE The Dakota County Sheriff's office says a Sioux Falls man led police on an eight-mile chase on gravel roads near Hubbard, Nebraska Friday.

It happened just before 5:00pm Friday night after police were called to Lux Trucking for a disturbance between the owner and two men.

Police say one of the men involved left the business. When police caught up with him and attemped to pull him over, a pursuit began.

The sheriff says deputies pursued the vehicle for approximately eight miles of gravel roads that eventually ended in rural Dakota County.

The suspect was identified as Ronald Soulek, 61, from Sioux Falls.

Soulek told authorities that he was alone and nobody else was involved. There were no injuries in the pursuit but authorities say several cars were ran off the road by Soulek. He is charged with Flight to Avoid Arrest, Willful Reckless Driving, DUI, No Operators License, Speeding, No vehicle registration and No Proof of Insurance.
