(KSFY) - A Sioux Falls man has been sentenced to 30 months in prison for several sex trafficking-related crimes.
Fifty-one-year-old Jerome Davis Kent was also sentenced to six years of supervised release following his prison sentence, according to U.S. Attorney Ron Parsons.
Kent previously pleaded guilty to sex trafficking by force, fraud and coersion, and transportation for illegal sexual activity.
Prosecutors say Kent transported an adult female victim from Sioux Falls to Marshall, Minn. in 2016, knowing she was taking part in prostitution. Kent gave the woman heroin and kept the money she received from the sex acts.
