SiouxFalls.Business Report: April 20, 2017

We're starting to see more new housing on the new east side.

The massive Graystone Heights apartment project is set to open in June and ultimately have about 330 apartments, making it among the largest in the city. It's located off 57th street near Sycamore Avenue and includes amenities like an indoor-outdoor pool, theater room, dog park and different rent rates depending on what floor you're on.

There's also more housing under construction near 69th Street and Southeastern Avenue. These are more than 200 owner-occupied townhomes that also have a range of prices and a clubhouse and play area – plus they're right next to the new GreatLife Performance Center.

Some more restaurants are getting ready to open on 41st Street.

Schlotzsky's is under construction in part of the building that used to be Austad's Golf. The sandwich shop is coming back to Sioux Falls after being gone several years and this time it's partnering with Cinnabon to bring back the national cinnamon roll chain in the same building. The plan is to open that combination store in mid-May. And around the same time, new neighbor Panchero's will start construction. The burrito chain is taking the rest of that building for its second Sioux Falls store and the plan is to open in September.
