SiouxFalls.Business Report: December 19, 2017

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (SIOUXFALLS.BUSINESS) - Jodi Schwan with SiouxFalls.Business stopped by the KSFY Studio to discuss the latest business news:

Washington Square opens to its first tenants this week.

L.G. Everist moved its office into the downtown building on the fourth floor. That floor is full with offices so more workers will be coming in the next few months.

The lobby of the building is done, too. And so is the very top floor called the Owners' Terrace. It's a beautiful gathering space with a kitchen, fireplace and huge deck for grilling and great views of the city.

The first condo buyers are closing on their units and planning to move starting in the next few weeks. There are nine condos left and two spaces on the first floor where the owners are hoping to attract a restaurant.

Speaking of food, seafood lovers this is for you.

Dakota Seafood Company has opened. The business started a couple years ago in Rapid City and has expanded to Sioux Falls with a space at the Bridges at 57th Street and Western Avenue.

The store will stock at least 14 varieties of finfish, several types of oysters and at least three species of salmon every day. Plus, three kinds of shrimp, mussels, clam and tuna along with specialty meats like Wagyu beef, elk and caribou, artisan cheeses, beer, wine and some produce.
